Read More Add a CommentThe folk music email lists have been full of musical benefits and efforts to raise money for the victims of hurricane Katrina. Here are a couple of music related projects on the web. I’m sure there are many more.
Many artists who sell their CD’s through CD Baby are donating their entire wholesale price to to Katrina Relief. CD Baby is supporting the effort and sending the money directly to the Red Cross. There’s a gallery of titles that are part of the program here. There are hundreds of not thousands of titles, depending on how much overlap there is in CD Baby’s categorization system but by any measure there are a lot of CD’s.
Putumayo is donating all proceeds of sales of it’s New Orleans and Mississippi Blues CD’s to Katrina relief through the end of the year.
