Reuters Article on Festival!
Reuters News has a nice piece about Murry Lerner’s Festival! which is now available on DVD. There has been renewed interest in the film since footage from it was used in the Dylan biopic ‘No Direction Home’. Shot over three years (1963-1965) at Newport, Festival! was nominated for an academy award when it was released in 1967. It had been largely unavailable until its re release this fall.
