Steve Goodman Biographer Looking for Mike Douglas Segment

Linda Kaar posted the following on the Folk Alliance mailing list. It seems worth passing along

Clay Eals, biographer of the late, great Steve Goodman, is looking for a specific television segment for his book on Steve’s life. Clay writes: “…Maybe there’s a Harry Chapin or Steve Goodman fan out there who audiotaped the Mike Douglas show which was taped on Tuesday, July 1, 1975, and was aired a week later on July 8…” and “…Racing along on the Goodman book, I’m in the middle of Chapter 11 (of 16), where I’ve just drafted the section dealing with “The Mike Douglas Show.” I’ve glossed through the key portion of it (Steve and Richard Pryor judging a songwriter/pianist’s performance) with recollections, but it could be so much better if I had [the] audio tape to tell the actual story…” If you have you know of this show, or have this on audio or video, please contact Clay Eals directly at: Clay Eals 1728 California Ave. S.W. #301 Seattle, WA 98116-1958 (206) 935-7515 ceals at comcast dot net
