Naked Folk 2006 is a revealing look at 27 celebrated singer-songwriters, storytellers, folkies, guitar pickers, fiddlers, drummers, activists, sign language interpreters and a Philadelphia Fireman who have decided to bare it all to raise money to supplement health insurance costs for musicians.
From one month to the next, NAKED FOLK includes striking black and white duotone photographs of Tanglefoot ( Terry Young, Steve Richie, Bryan Weirmier, Al Parrish and Terry Snider) SONiA, Kate McDonnell, Susan Werner, U. Utah Phillips, Modern Man (David Buskin, Rob Carlson and George Wurzback) , Annie Wenz, Wendy Fuhr and Eric Allen, The Dreamsicles (Tom Prasada-Rao and Cary Cooper), the Mammals (Tao Rodriguez-Seeger, Michael Merenda, Ruth Ungar, Chris Merenda and Jacob Silver), Red Molly (Laurie MacAllister, Abbie Gardner and Carolann Solebello), Jody Gill and Dave McCloskey. The featured DJ this year is Sonny Ochs.
Each 12×12 calendar provides photos of each performer, their birthdays and bios. It also lists folk festivals in the US and Canada.
