The Chieftains Begin US Tour in January
The Chieftains, the legendary traditional Irish music group will kick off their annual winter tour beginning Jan. 17 in Shreveport LA. before heading west and south across Texas, playing the region’s most prestigious performing halls in Ft. Worth, Waco, Galveston, Austin and San Antonio. Dubbed the “Waltz Across Texas Tour”, the Lone Star trek will highlight the group’s most ambitious tour ever of the American southwest. Continuing on to other venues in the Southwest and West Coast.
The music program on the tour will include songs from their latest RCA Victor album “Live From Dublin: Tribute To Derek Bell”; the jaw-dropping, step-dancing duo of Jon and Nathan Pilatzke from Canada; renowned harpist Triona Marshall; along with newly-signed recording act The Cottars as very special guests.
According to their web site they’ll be back in the states in March touring in the Midwest and East Coast.
