Inside Dylan and XM Radio

As you’ve probably heard by now Bob Dylan will have a weekly radio show on XM satellite radio starting May 3rd. A new weblog by XM programming honcho Lee Abrams offers an interesting peek into the workings of both XM radio and the Dylan organization. On his weblog Abrams tells the story of wooing Dylan to XM and putting together the show. There’s plenty of show biz hype to be sure but it’s a diverting read none the less. Dylan and a large corporate radio network don’t exactly seem like an easy match and it’s amusing to read between the lines as XM adapts to Dylan’s way of doing things.

A hat tip to Ron Olesko who posted about this on the folkdj email list.
