Compass Records to Distribute CD’s from the Green Linnet Catalog
Compass Records has purchased physical distribution rights to the Green Linnet catalog from Digital Music Group Inc. which purchased the Celtic music label last week. Apparently this deal was worked out simultaneously with the label’s purchase.
Compass already includes quite a few Celtic artists in it’s roster including Solas, Mick Maloney, John Doyle and Lunasa along with a wide variety of other artists.
After the sale last week some people wondered if the sale would mean the end of physical distribution for the Green Linnet catalog. That seems unlikely with this new arrangement.
