My thought is to make the blog more journalistic instead of voyeuristic - sharing information about upcoming concerts at the Hurdy Gurdy as well as other venues in the area. There are so many “gems” here in the Northeast that I thought this might be a good way to create a little publicity for them. In addition, I think I will also give a few CD recommendations, promote upcoming shows that I am doing on WFDU, and share information that I gather from the folk community. I promise not to tell everyone what I ate for breakfast, moan about why my two cats are out to get me, share recipes for strudel, or discuss any dark secret that would land me in the witness protection program. The idea of my blog is promote folk music.
