Site News, October 2006
As you will have noted I’ve been back posting regularly after a pretty slow summer. Well actually life was pretty busy which was why posting was slow. Musically it included a trip to the Oldsongs Festival, a couple of days at Ithaca’s own Grassroots Festival, a week of dancing at Pinewoods and the fabulous Turtle Hill Festival just after labor day weekend. In a few weeks I might run into some of you at North East Regional Folk Alliance Conference.
I’ve got some interesting posts coming up. One on folk music weblogs, one on social networking and folk music, some reviews and of course, any news that comes this way. As always I’d be glad to hear from you. If you have news, ideas for articles, comments and/or criticisms feel free to drop me a note or leave a comment below.
I’d also like to ask for your help. As of today there are 109 people who subscribe by email and RSS. I’m sure that’s only a fraction of the people who might be interested. If you enjoy reading Back Porch News, how about helping some other folks find out about it? It seems like most of the new folks who find their way here either hear about the site from a friend or follow a link from a folk music related web site. Many thanks to the kind friends who’ve posted links so far. If anyone else feels so moved I’d really appreciate it. If you don’t have a web site or even if you do, please tell some other folks about Back Porch News!
Thanks so much for your support. I look forward to hearing from you.
