Stolen Guitar and Gear
This is making the rounds so you may have seen it elsewhere but I like to make sure these kinds of things get publicized as widely as possible.

Hello everyone, Canadian musicians Don Ross and Brooke Miller had their van robbed in Montreal last week. ARGH!I met Don at Winfield in 1984… he won the fingerpicking championship there in 1985… phenomenal player and a great guy. I liked his instrumental guitar piece “First Ride” so much that I actually learned it and put it on the record “Blues Beneath the Surface” when it was re-issued on CD. Don played the Cantab open mike feature a couple years back but typically plays larger venues.

The theft of musical instruments should be punishable at the same level as kidnapping, and cases handled by the same level law enforcement organization (the FBI in the US).

It is appalling isn’t it.
